Able to breathe more easily

I am finally over my cold. Huge thanks for this go to Mel who suggested I take zinc as it is proven to reduce the duration of colds. I’m not entirely sure if it was the zinc itself or just the idea that I was taking something effective, but 48 hours after swallowing my first capsules (they taste disgusting, by the way, even if they are purple) I was a million times better. And given that I had got to the stage where I could not remember what it felt like to be able to breathe without difficulty or think clearly, you can imagine my relief.

I will now be able to resume slog down at the allotment. Which is just as well. We have industrial quantities of potatoes to plant as well as beans to sow, lettuces to plant out and so on and so on. Saturday is going to be a busy, busy day. Particularly as we are going on holiday next week and so won’t be able to go back to the allotment for a fortnight or so.

I know, I know. We need to talk about my difficulty with commitment, don’t we?

In addition to the practical duties at the plot, I also plan to attend to some political duties. To be frank, I’m a little nervous about this, but I know the right thing to do and should, therefore, feel a bit more confident doing it. After that I should be able to give my heretical thoughts a public airing (I’m sure you just can’t wait, can you?) and can then start to discuss more exciting things.

But I’m not going to do any of that until I know for sure that I can truly breathe easily.

Hurray! Glad you feel better, however I seem to have caught your cold now! Perhaps I should install an anti-virus program on my computer.
