Hoping that rats don’t grow to be this big
I thought that having a rat (possibly) in my compost was a bit worrying, and today I discovered disturbing signs that something had gnawed through my leaf sacks, presumably to find a warm place to rest its weary rodent head.
But at least I don’t have anything as big as this to worry about.
As far as I am aware…

Wowzer – hope that size of live beast is not in my compost heap too! or it may move in and take over my home & dogs – not good.
Just reading that website too – my life seems VERY dull in comparrison! gardening-compost-rain-planting…or hard childhood-glamourous job-lost it-booze-now happy.
mmmmmm think glamourous northern life wins hands down to be honest….! Honest.

Eek! I always thought raccoons were cute and cuddly.
I’m ignoring the rat under my compost heap just now but plan to start watering it regularly (the heap’s under an apple tree so stays fairly dry) in attempt to ‘flush’ out the rat and make it move somewhere else.

Oo-er. Don’t like the sound of that. May be time for serious anti-rat measures.
Such as a gun. And/or a terrier. Plenty of black country terrier clubs you could call on to do the dirty…
