Rainy day activity

For the past few days it has rained. It has rained so much that it constantly sounds like the final verse of the 12 Days of Christmas on our roof. And then it has rained some more. All of which means that it has not been ‘get out in the garden and do some work’ weather.

Needing something to do with my time other than spend it glued to the computer, I decided to make the most of some birthday presents I had been given – some wooden garden labels – and got around to writing some plant names on them in coloured pencil.

It will be helpful for me to get into the habit of labelling things as I often don’t and then don’t have a clue what is where. Mystery is all well and good but there are times when it’s very inconvenient.  The pencil won’t last forever, but it won’t easily wash off either. Most of all, I like how they look and that’s important in my garden. Funky and useful. We could do with more of that round here.

They look fantastic! I am in serious need of more labeling, I always think it will be fine I will just remember which pots are which and then a few months later am watching to see which of my tomatoes are going to be yellow and which are going to be red.

    Thank you both!

Amy – Yes, that’s exactly what I always do. I seem to think that my memory is much betterthan it actually is.

foxmarta – Welcome to P’Soup – glad to see you dropped by from Twitter!
