Sunshine and rain
Readers who are UK residents will know that this summer has been largely wet, rainy and generally washed-out. Every single day recently has been accompanied by the drumming of raindrops on the windows. But every now and then there is a break in the weather, the sun smiles (weakly) and there is an opportunity to sneak outdoors to make the most of it. Pretty soon the weather is going to get nastier (imagine that) and work is going to get much busier so there will be far fewer chances to be outside getting my hands dirty.
You know what that means, don’t you? We’ll have to start the decorating.

Oh No – not the decorating!

We are waiting for a new roof – (Should have started in July) – so I hope the weather gets better! As the drumming of the rain is not just on our windows – need I say more?
Then when the roof is done ….. we can join you …. in the decorating.

Hi Karen – Ah yes, I remember life with a holey roof. Not fun. I also remember the sleepless nighte when we were mid-roofing and I could hear the tarp on blowing about on teh top of the house. Not pleasant. I wish you an intact leak-free roof as soon as possible!
Lottie Wannabe – Hi – I’m right there with you. Fingers crossed.
